Section 1: Ancient Sindh – Heroes and Early Martyrs
This section honors legendary and historical figures who resisted occupation, becoming enduring symbols of Sindhi bravery, honor, and resistance.
🏹 1. Raja Dahir (Shaheed)
- Martyrdom: 712 CE
- Region: Sindh (Alor)
- Legacy: The last native ruler of Sindh, he valiantly resisted the Arab invasion led by Muhammad bin Qasim. A symbol of pre-Islamic Sindhi sovereignty and defiance.
⚔️ 2. Dodo Soomro (Shaheed)
- Period: 13th Century
- Legacy: A hero of Sindhi folklore, Dodo Soomro led the Soomra dynasty against foreign invaders. His bravery is immortalized in the epic Dodo Chanesar.
🏴 3. Hosh Muhammad Sheedi (Shaheed)
- Martyrdom: March 24, 1843
- Battle: Battle of Hyderabad
- Legacy: Commander-in-chief of the Talpur forces, he resisted British colonial troops. Famous for his defiant declaration: “Marsoon, Marsoon, Sindh na desoon” ("I will die, but I will not give Sindh away").
⚜️ 4. Mir Sher Muhammad Talpur (Shaheed)
- Battle: Battle of Dubbo, 1843
- Role: The last Talpur ruler to resist British conquest
- Legacy: Remembered for his relentless resistance even after defeat at Miani.
These early martyrs laid the foundation for Sindhi resistance, nationalism, and pride—centuries before the formal emergence of the Sindhudesh movement.
